Ellin is online with the Jewish community of Calgary for a live discussion about ‘Double Threat’

Join the Jewish Historical Society of Southern Alberta and Susan Podlog (nee Binder) at the Calgary JCC on Aug. 21, 2018 at 7 p.m. for a discussion about her father’s wartime contribution to the Allied victory, and how the stories of the 17,000 Canadians of Jewish faith who served with him are revealed in Ellin Bessner’s new book “Double Threat: Canadian Jews, the Military, and WWII”. Ellin will participate remotely from Toronto with the book discussion, answering questions from the audience. Published by New Jewish Press, the book “Double Threat” also touches on many prominent Calgary and Alberta Jewish families, including those who moved to the province after the war. Come out and tell your own family’s WWII history.
